Yosef Golowa, MD FSIR, is double board certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular/Interventional Radiology. He has more than 15 years of experience with expertise in innovative, minimally invasive, image-guided therapies.
Dr. Golowa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yeshiva University and then went to NYU School of Medicine to earn his Doctor of Medicine. He trained in diagnostic radiology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard Medical School. He underwent further advanced training in minimally invasive procedures related to pediatric diseases and vascular anomalies at Boston Children’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Golowa has previously worked as an Attending Physician at Montefiore Medical Center for over 12 years where he held the appointment of Associate Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He also served as Director of Pediatric Interventional Radiology at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Co-Director of the Montefiore Vascular Anomalies Group.
He is distinguished in his field and has been invited to speak at numerous national and international meetings. He is well-published in peer-reviewed journals and has served as a co-investigator in several clinical trials. He has been honored with a Fellowship by the Society of Interventional Radiology in recognition of his leadership in the field. Dr. Golowa continues to be at the forefront of new minimally invasive therapies and has been a well-regarded mentor for trainees learning these new techniques.
Dr. Golowa is passionate about advancing effective treatments for men’s and woman’s health, vascular anomalies, and venous and arterial diseases. He believes in providing patient-centered care with compassion and a personal touch.
